Satellite L-Band

PPM's ViaLite wide-dynamic-range L-Band Interfacility Fibre-Optic-Link provides a high performance, high reliability, transparent cross-site connection between up/down-converters and modems in satellite ground station equipment. The link's operation is independent of data format, and together with its inherently low phase noise performance, it is suitable for almost any type of signal modulation including FM and QPSK.

The L-Band interfacility fibre-optic-links are available in standard frequency (950-2150MHz) versions to cover the complete L Band.

The L-Band links are available with optional manual gain adjustment in the receivers. This gain adjustment is ideal for balancing of two or more optical channels when employed in redundant configurations.

High reliability, comprehensive alarm & status monitoring, wide dynamic range, wide ranging gain control options etc, result in a highly flexible product suitable for a wide range of installations.

The PPM L-band product is available with cost-effective Fabry Perot laser for short haul or Low-noise DFB laser for longer haul in either OEM or Plug-in module format.
