Wavelength Division Multiplexers

PPM's range of wavelength division multiplexing products allows protocol-transparent combination and separation of multiple fiber optic channels.  The technology enables flexible and efficient planning of optical networks for satellite, broadcast, instrumentation and signal distribution.

Using either the WDM or CWDM options it is possible to combine 2, 4 or 8 separate signals onto a single fiber.  This technology offers particular benefits when installing new channel capacity into a pre-existing fiber network with a fixed number of fiber cores in the backbone.

Products are available from 1310nm/1550nm WD duplexers up to ITU-T G.694.2 8-channel CWDM multiplexers and demultiplexers.
The high-isolation products feature exceptional adjacent channel isolation specifically designed to complement PPM's wide dynamic range inter-facility links.

The 2 channel WDM duplexers are available in either pigtail or plug-in module format allowing OEM’s to build them into larger systems or to be rack mounted with other PPM modules.  The 4 and 8 channel CWDM system are available in compact 1U high 19inch rack format.
