Satellite IF 70/140MHz

PPM's ViaLite wide-dynamic-range 70/140MHz Interfacility Fibre-Optic-Link provides a high performance, high reliability, transparent cross-site connection between up/down-converters and modems in satellite ground station equipment. The link's operation is independent of data format, and together with its inherently low phase noise performance, it is suitable for almost any type of signal modulation including FM and QPSK.

The 70-140MHz interfacility fibre-optic-link has a bandwidth of 10-200MHz, and covers all common IF frequencies.

A gain control option allows the user to accommodate a wide range of input signals by varying the optical transmitter gain. Similarly, the optical receiver gain can be adjusted to compensate for the effects of losses due to very long optical path lengths.

High reliability, comprehensive alarm & status monitoring, wide dynamic range, and gain control options result in a highly flexible product suitable for a wide range of installations.
